Vital Smiles Georgia has partnered with Phoebe Putney Hospital in through its Network of Trust Program.

The Albany hospital started the program in 1998 to assist teen mothers through education and affordable health care. The Network of Trust has now expanded to include 28 clinics in local schools, and provides health services that have been neglected by often impoverished and under-educated parents. (more…)

Upcoming Events in Albany

It’s spring break in for most students in Norcross, GA and many families seize the opportunity to get out of town.  But for those that stick around, it’s a great time to tackle that never-ending to-do list.

April Showers, Bring May Smilers!

April will be a busy month for the Vital Smiles GA Albany office.  We have quite a few events going on that we would like you to visit us at:

  • Throughout the month of April, we will be back at the Albany Mall kiosk handing out some more great giveaways!
  • We will be setting up at The Worth County Health Department to provide education on oral hygiene.
  • We will also be visiting Turner Elementary School to talk about oral hygiene with the first graders.

We keep your child’s teeth sparkling clean with the help of our electric tooth brush (a motorized prophy brush). We then apply bubbles (fluoride) to keep his or her teeth strong.

Filling Cavities

We use fun tools like Mr. Bumpy (our slow speed drill) to remove decay. Your child will then receive a silver star (filling), and the tooth will be good as new.

Sealants

Sealants are thin, protective coatings used to prevent tooth decay. They fill in the tiny grooves of the tooth surface so that brushing becomes more effective.

X-Rays

We use a tooth camera (X-ray machine) to take pictures of your child’s teeth. This gives us a better look at his or her smile. Our Digital X-rays are state of the art, limiting radiation exposure.
